| Super Tuesday!

Yes, I know I promised some nice, soft news music reviews… but which is ultimately more important to the future of the free world… Chinese pop or today’s huge primary/caucus day??

To all Americans present… YES, TODAY IS SUPER TUESDAY.

Approximately 22 different states are either holding their presidential primaries or caucuses TODAY. This is bound to be a pivotal turning point in our presidential race. In short, it’s make-or-break for all candidates involved.

See the tabulated results here and here.

People in those Super Tuesday states today… get off your apathetic tushes and go support your Democrats!!

[Edit] McCain seems to have clinched most states handily, while the Democratic race is still neck-and-neck; as of this writing on Wednesday morning, Hillary Clinton has won more delegates but Barack Obama has won more states. [/Edit]

Besides the political ruckus, there was an all-new House episode today: patient was a Hasidic Jew, and Dr. Wilson’s going out with Amber aka Cutthroat Bitch—! And although we all at first logically assume along with House that Cutthroat Bitch has a devious plan to manipulate Wilson’s closeness to House to “get back at him,” she and Wilson actually seem to like each other.

Heh heh heh… social equals

| Check out those corsets

I’m doomed. I told myself I wouldn’t take until 5:00 pm at the library, but now it’s past 6:30. I have midterm exams tomorrow, and holy shit! I don’t think I’ll pass either of my Honors English or PDM tests…

On the bright side, get a load of these guys:

Versailles

Yeah, you can see I’m trying to spruce up my writing here… generate some more interest in my hopelessly desolate blog… Anyway, just who are those corset-clad beauties? They’re the Japanese visual kei band Versailles, and the musical genres listed on their Wikipedia page (symphonic metal, power metal, neo-classical metal) are all unanimously to my liking. I think I’ll look into them some more… after I study, that is.

Music reviews… for Play, 愛‧歌姬 (Love · Diva), and Jay Chou on the Run…? Those will be arriving soon, after my exams (or while I stall in my usual vain attempt to delay preparing for my chemistry test)…

| I lose control ~full moon~

Aaaaaaaa-aaaaaaagh, I have so much homework today.

Hey, I released my Orange Jellies theme… did anyone notice?

My good friend Jacky-Lin came back from Taiwan over break, and she helped me purchase some Asian goods (she went, I paid). The loot:

I’ve listened through all three and am thinking of writing some reviews soon. More to come. Chao.

| ¡Tengo que mencionar esto otra vez!

Look at what I have!

Lyra Belacqua Mrs. Coulter Lord Asriel Iorek Byrnison Serafina Pekkala Lee Scoresby

The Golden Compass movie official Web site is currently offering these beautiful wallpapers as free downloads, as well as some other goodies. Also note the gold “12-7-07″ caption in each corner; the film is coming to U.S. theaters in less than two weeks!

To be continued later…

[Edit] Take a look at the fan reviews for the film. I was amused when I first saw it — nearly all of the reviews fall into the two extremes on the rating scale. Of course, all of the “Oh No!” reviews were authored by ignorant and intolerant Christians who maintain that the film is “anti-God” and “God-hating.” Have you ever seen anything like it? [/Edit]

| 美麗的 Gorgeous Devil

The title may have prematurely given it away, but… can you identify the people in the below photograph?

Silver Ash

They appear to be a Japanese visual kei group, right? Like Malice Mizer or Dir en grey? Right???

Ummmm… no.

他們都是中國人。

Yes… may I have the honor of presenting to you 銀色灰塵, or Silver Ash, the first-ever Chinese visual kei rock band.
