Ha! Just finished my computer science exam. There were three questions on computer history in there, but I know I definitely bagged the Charles Babbage one. And Herman Holarith computerized the 1890 U.S. Census, right? Didn’t he?
My Spanish III exam is next, after lunch. No digan a otras personas, but I think my teacher didn’t spend enough time reviewing vocabulary with us; my previous teacher last year used to show us flash cards and make us play review games all the time, but this year, while I was poring over my textbook, there were a score of words I didn’t even know we covered.
I cram surprisingly well, though.
So, on another note, I ordered about four music CDs from YesAsia.com back in December, but when I checked my order’s status on their site, it still read “In Process.” What’s keeping them, I wonder?
Stephanie says:
I honestly haven’t heard many good things about YesAsia.com. Maybe that’s why. I’d contact the staff and see what’s going on.
At least you Spanish teacher reviews vocabulary. Our French teachers just tell you that you should already know how to memorize vocab, and goes over every annoying grammar aspect that exists.
Good luck on the rest of your exams!

Oh boy. Luckily for us, computer history was not on our compsci midterm. Yeah, I believe you are right about Herman Hollerith. :D
Hehe, I cram a lot too. Although how well I cram I cannot say. XP
Ooo, lucky, my parents would never allow me to buy cds… I think. Hmm, that’s strange, though, cuz I thought YesAsia was supposed to be trustworthy? But as I don’t have any personal experience… Yeah, maybe you should start bugging them? But if this has happened before, everything’s probably fine, though….

Well, Stephanie, Amy… I checked my order’s status yet again a few days again, and I was overjoyed to see it now read “Shipped.” Although since I selected the Super Saver shipping method, it’ll probably take 5-10 days to arrive. YesAsia is trustworthy, for the most part… they just took a lot longer than usual to ship this particular order.
Thanks for your concern!

I felt the same when I was getting ready to take my german exams last quarter. I liked my teacher and all but right before the test, he’d tell us that we might need to know certain words and I’d wonder why we didn’t learn it before. Pero, buena suerte con todos de sus examenes.
