| TSCC'S SEASON 2 FINALE: "Born to Run"

HOLY SHIT. TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES IS THE BEST SHOW ON TELEVISION.

For those of you who follow the show (and haven't seen this episode), don't read any further.

THE CONCLUSION OF THE SEASON FINALE CHANGES EVERYTHING.

Examples:

  • Catherine Weaver's identity and motive are finally revealed. She's not trying to build Skynet. She's building something to fight against it, namely, John Henry — which puts her in league with the Connors and the Resistance. She's also revealed to be the same T-1000 who was set loose on the USS Jimmy Carter in the episode "Today Is the Day, Part 2."
  • Cameron powers down and gives John Henry her chip. Weaver previously sent her the same message that the future John sent Weaver back on the USS Jimmy Carter — which is, "Will you join us?" Cameron apparently acquiesces, and as Zeira Corp's headquarters is being destroyed by the drone sent to assassinate John Henry, Cameron supposedly gives him instructions to cut out her chip. Soon after, he jumps to another time via the time machine in the basement, and a message on the TV display is left behind for John: "I'M SORRY JOHN I'M SORRY JOHN…"
  • John Connor, once again, makes another jump through time. This time it's to the post-Judgement Day future. However, it's an alternate timeline where John Connor doesn't exist (the Resistance presumably has another leader) and where he meets the future version of Derek (who's alive, unlike the one in the past, who's dead), Kyle Reese (John's father, which makes it the first time John's ever met him), and Cameron, who is seen walking with the other soldiers, petting a dog. BUT, according to the wiki, this Cameron is not Cameron, but the human resistance fighter on which she's modeled after, Allison Young.
  • Catherine Weaver accompanies John. She is the only person to make the jump with him, but vanishes mysteriously when John meets the company of Resistance soldiers.
  • Sarah is now irrevocably separated from John. She steps outside the range of the energy bubble just as John and Weaver make the jump (I screamed like crazy at this point: "NO, SARAH!! DON'T GO DON'T GO DON'T GO!!"), telling John, "I'll stop it" — maybe referring to Skynet or Judgment Day. Or something like that.

At the end John is naked, clothed only in a jacket he picks up (since only organic material can go through temporal jumps, which causes clothing to be left behind), and a company of soldiers fighting for the Resistance finds him, led by that timeline's version of Derek, Kyle, and Allison. Weaver, who was with John, is found to have disappeared. Sarah remains in the past, the show's "present." The chip-less body of Cameron, with her left, red Terminator eye exposed through her organic covering, is sitting in a chair in Zeira Corp's basement, also in the "past." It's also revealed that Danny Dyson, the son of Miles Dyson (the man who practically invented Skynet, and who died prior to the series), has been missing for three months. The future, quite literally, is uncertain.

And so is the air date of season three.

GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!! HOW WILL I EVER SURVIVE TILL THEN???
